  1. DubEval 0.1.4

    Последний

    What's new

    • Updates work like a normal app now: the card says Update X is ready, and only Restart to update installs it. Closing DubEval doesn't.
    • New checks: numbers that change between a line and its dub, bursts of noise the original doesn't have, and speech missing from the dub even when its language can't be recognized.
    • Fewer false alarms: a timing moment must be confirmed by the voice detector, mostly-music videos no longer get line-by-line grades, and a quieter dub no longer counts as a worse voice.
    • Fairer grades: loudness is Good within 3 dB and Needs review within 6, and a line-length or voice-quality problem needs more evidence before it can make a dub Poor.
    • The translation check shows how many lines it reviewed: if some are missing (for example, 6 of 8), it says so and gives no grade.
    • Reports name the AI model that answered, and you can keep to one model for the whole run (More options).
    • Comparisons say when a recommendation isn't ready: with little or unclear speech or an unchecked translation, first place is provisional, not a delivery recommendation. They also warn when different AI models reviewed the dubs.
    • Fixed: the start screen and start-up errors now show instead of a blank window, and your language, sidebar width and history period are remembered after a restart.
  2. DubEval 0.1.3

    What's new

    • Fixed: in the installed app, evaluations stopped at Measure quality with a NO_SUCHFILE error (silero_vad_v6.onnx).
    • If the voice detector ever can't load, the evaluation now goes on without it instead of stopping.
  3. DubEval 0.1.2

    What's new

    • Start from Home: upload the dubbed video or paste its link, and the new evaluation opens with it in place.
    • Any video link works: Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and links to video files download too, as well as YouTube, TikTok and Reels.
    • Fewer false alarms: music is no longer read as speech, lines the speech recognizer skipped are recovered, and differences too small to notice aren't flagged.
    • New check: whether the dub's sound is in step with its picture. Original-language speech left in the dub is found more reliably.
    • DubEval says when it isn't sure: with little or unclear speech, or no translation check, the verdict is Needs review with the reason, never a confident Good.
    • Fairer meaning grade: Poor needs three or more badly translated lines, and a line that may just be misheard becomes a moment to listen to.
    • Lip-sync check (optional download in Settings → Models): how often the lips follow the dubbed speech, next to the original, shown for information.
    • Translation check on this computer (optional download): nothing is sent out, but it's less exact than Claude or Gemini.
    • Review the problems: step through every flagged moment with Previous and Next.
    • New Settings (API keys, Models, Storage, Privacy, About, with Save), new Help, a new icon, and Home and Evaluation history fill the window.
    • Many fixes: renaming a comparison renames every dub, votes stay after renaming, and Settings no longer closes when an evaluation finishes.
  4. DubEval 0.1.1

    What's new

    • Works on company networks: downloads and Perso links now use this computer's trusted certificates and proxy, as your browser does.
    • When a network still blocks DubEval, the message says so and what to ask your IT team, instead of "check your internet connection".
  5. DubEval 0.1.0

The first public beta of DubEval, for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).

    What's new

    • Evaluate a dub against its original: timing, voice, meaning and sound, with every problem on a timeline.
    • Every evaluation is kept on the Evaluations screen, with a picture: open, rename or delete it; a page you've started filling in is kept as a draft.
    • Compare up to 8 dubs of one video and get a recommendation with the reason.
    • Paste YouTube, TikTok, Reels or Perso share links, or choose files on this computer.
    • Offline meaning check, faster recognition on NVIDIA cards and a large speech model in Settings → Models.
    • Translation check with Claude, Gemini or ChatGPT.
    • Export the results as a report, a problem list, a summary or data.

    Install

    1. Download DubEval-Setup.exe below (about 505 MB). 2. Open it. The beta isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC": click More info, check that the app is DubEval-Setup.exe, then Run anyway. 3. Choose Install (about 2 minutes, for your Windows user only). DubEval opens on Evaluations.

From now on DubEval checks for updates when it starts and asks before installing one.

Before you rely on a verdict, read How accurate is it?: only English → Korean has been checked closely against a person's grades.
